Learn the nuts and bolts of affordable housing finance, from general concepts to project-specific considerations.
Both public and private funding sources will be discussed, with significant attention to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and tax-exempt bonds.
We will help you navigate these complex financing programs, describing how to calculate tax credits and equity, as well as outlining the basic regulatory requirements, application and allocation processes of these programs.
This institute will contain lectures as well as interactive exercises and is presented by financial consultants from the California Housing Partnership, a state-chartered nonprofit “do and think tank” that supports the state’s mission-driven and public-sector affordable housing developers, operators, funders, regulators, and policymakers.
