NETWORKING, FORUMS, and PEER LEARNING

Resident services, property management, and supportive services staff are among the most valuable staff members in ensuring a successful affordable housing community and supporting the success of residents.

The mission of the Supportive Housing and Resident Services Academy (SHRSA) is to provide meaningful and practical support through educational forums, networking opportunities, and peer learning to see residents and communities flourish.

SHRSA fits a critical unmet need for those working in Affordable Housing and Supportive Housing developments for formerly homeless people with complex needs. The network brings together organizations that share common issues, needs, and goals. By convening together to share lessons learned, best practices, and updated techniques, the SHRSA’s trainings provide practitioners in supportive housing with the tools needed to achieve successful outcomes at their properties. This program offers a certificate of completion once all trainings have been met per year.
