March Keystone Lunch with Supervisor Nora Vargas
The San Diego Housing Federation hosted a special Keystone Member Lunch at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens yesterday afternoon. There were over 20 members in attendance who were able to network, as well as hear from Supervisor Nora Vargas about pressing topics currently affecting our sector.
The Keystone Member Lunch is an exclusive member event that happens multiple times a year reserved for our Keystone members and above. It offers them a unique opportunity to engage in intimate conversation with the donor community and connect with influential community leaders.
Each Keystone Lunch features a special elected official guest. These officials will be available for one-on-one conversations, providing members with a unique opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and offer feedback on issues that matter to them.
This month, our special guest speaker was Supervisor Nora Vargas who came to speak on the state and county budget. She also addressed the topics of the workforce having to cross the border to access affordable housing, yet they work in San Diego, the support around the flooding and infrastructure from earlier this year, and systemic changes needed for housing production. She also opened the floor to questions so those in attendance were able to engage in meaningful discussion.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Maac for sponsoring this event!
